Vela Quadra

White tinted oak and black quarzite for the work top are the new finishes for the kitchen by Ferruccio Laviani.
Solid and resistant, quarzite cannot be scratched and resists at high temperatures. As Alvar Aalto says, “modern architecture does not mean using new materials but redefining existing materials in a more human way”.
Vela Quadra is arranged around a centre, the operating bench, surrounded by a larder unit. Behind the disappearing door is a well lit operative column with shelves and drawers in stainless steel. Plays on different edgings and thicknesses for the doors. The wall unit Futura, with door which opens book style, makes the kitchen more functional.
