Strata Tower

Strata Tower, the highest skyscraper in London, is already an icon.
The first of its kind to be conceived with renewable and sustainable technologies, fruit of a unique experiment, provided with a wind farm on its top to produce energy. Five 9 metre diameter blades produce 50 MGWV of electricity a year, the amount necessary for the communal spaces. A daring green building, new in its formal concepts, functional and energetic, focussing on energetic coherence and auto production in an integrated design. A design gem which puts together sustainable technology from wind farming and wind turbines to teleheating, the highly insulated façades, 50% better than the standard, to the ventilation system with hot air recovery, to the light sensitive cells.
There are efficient connections with public transport and green areas, as well as communications connections with fibre optic wiring and broad band.
The Strata Tower, part of an important urban renewal project in the Elephant&Castle area, promises to reduce CO2 emissions, to cost less in terms of services and utilities, a healthier interior and greater general wellbeing with respect to spaces, whether service or residential. An important urban design project under the guidance of the contractor Brokfield Europe which manages an investment of over 113 million pounds and a total of over 1.5 billion. The design is by one of the most famous studios in the UK, Hamiltons Architects of London, founded in the sixties, experienced in residential, urban, cultural and industrial planning, dedicated to the design and creation of sustainable architecture, innovative and working towards the transformation of the contemporary city and consumer needs. There will be 408 residences, each of which provided for in the design with certain fittings which include Dada kitchens, personalised in type, finish colour and composition. All components and primary materials used are the result of low environmental impact processes, certified to guarantee total quality control and performance. For Strata Tower Dada has created an integrated offer of top quality products which respond to the expectations of a consumer who is aware of looks and performance, but also of the concept of sustainability.
